In 2012 Waze, the GPS navigation company invited us to rethink their maps. A 2 months consultancy became a 2 years project through which we have redesigned 4 maps: the day and night map for the mobile app and the web and editor maps for the browser. Our challenge was to create a map legible enough for drivers to grasp in a glance. Through these 2 years we’ve seen Waze growing from a small local startup, to the poster child of the Israeli tech scene, sold to Google for more than $1,000,000,000.
